American astronaut Glenn de Vries was killed in a plane crash a month after he went into space with Star Trek actor William Shatner. A 49-year-old small plane crashed in the Hampton Township community in New Jersey, about 100 kilometers west of New York, police said Friday.
Two people were killed in the crash on Thursday. The US Aviation Authority has launched an investigation into the FAA crash.
De Vries was with 90-year-old “Captain Kirk” actor Shatner on October 13th. Two more astronauts were flown into space on a rocket by private space agency Blue Origin by Amazon founder Jeff Bezos.
