– Astronaut Glenn de Vries has died in a plane crash
A 49-year-old man and another passenger have not survived an accident 100 kilometers west of New York. The blue look shook after his death.
American astronaut Glenn de Vries was killed in a plane crash a month after he went into space with Star Trek actor William Shatner. A 49-year-old small plane crashed in the Hampton Township community in New Jersey, about 100 kilometers west of New York, police said Friday.
Two people were killed in the crash on Thursday. The US Aviation Authority has launched an investigation into the FAA crash.
De Vries was with 90-year-old “Captain Kirk” actor Shatner on October 13th. Two more astronauts were flown into space on a rocket by private space agency Blue Origin by Amazon founder Jeff Bezos.
Blue Origin was shaken on Friday by the death of the founder of a software company focused on clinical trials. “We are devastated by the sudden death of Glenn de Vries,” the company said in a text message on Twitter. “He brought so much life and energy to the entire Blue Origin team and the rest of the team.”
