A gas crash in Jordan has killed at least 10 people and injured more than 200. The government announced on Monday that toxic gas had leaked from a capsized container in the southern port of Aqaba.
Information Minister Faisal al-Zubul said the number of victims was “ten dead and more than 200 injured”. A spokesman for Jordanian security officials said a container filled with toxic gas had capsized in the port of Aqaba during transport. Thus causing leakage.

Officials, who wished to remain anonymous, said the container had fallen off the ship. So the southern part of the port was evacuated. Al-Mamlakah television station reported that Prime Minister Fischer al-Hassawne and Interior Minister Masen al-Faraza had gone to the scene of the accident.
The port of Aqaba is one of the most important ports in the Red Sea and Jordan. Most Jordanian imports and exports are handled by him.
